Steel Panel Doors are the more traditional sectional doors. Usually made in three different thicknesses (gauges), the normal gauge is either 26 gauge for thin material, 25 gauge for medium thickness, or 24 gauge for the thickest that is used. Typically the 24 gauge door is the heaviest material that is used for a residential door.
The 2 main types of designs are the short panel and the long panel pattern. On a short panel design, for a 2 car garage door, you would have 8 raised panels per section going from left to right. On a long panel design, for a 2 car garage door, you would have 4 raised panels per section going from left to right.
There are a variety of window designs that can be incorporated in the design to make it unique to your home.
